Meet Chris Meares

Meares & Associates TeamI have long held a passion for the Australian countryside and twelve years ago, I decided to create a specialised business to service the rural property market.

At Meares & Associates, we focus 100% on rural property and we aim to consistently perform beyond our clients’ expectations. We are continually reviewing and refining all aspects of our operation to enhance the quality of service to our clients.

A key aspect of this service is our strength in marketing. We endeavour to create the most impactful, effective and sincere marketing campaigns to ensure the experience of buying or selling is enjoyable and memorable.

We have been involved in everything from the sale of 10 million acre outback sheep stations and rural coastal farms to boutique wineries and lifestyle ‘treechanges’. We take pride in the fact that the vast majority of our business is either through referral or repeat business. Our well-honed database is a valuable resource for building business for our clients and ourselves.

Chris Meares has been a practising and licensed Stock and Station, Real Estate Agent and Valuer for nearly 40 years and is also an Accredited Auctioneer.

With a solid background in agribusiness, banking, marketing and property throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia, Chris has been involved in the sales and marketing of many of Australia’s leading rural properties.

Chris lives and breathes rural life and is the Founding Board Member of Computer Aided Livestock Marketing (C.A.L.M.), and Past Vice President of Stock and Station Agents Association of NSW.

Sam TriggsSAM TRIGGS
SALES AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Sam joined the team in 2004 and his energy, enthusiasm and goal-oriented approach are a great asset to our business and our clients.

Sam has an extensive rural background and is currently studying for an Agricultural Economics Degree majority in Marketing at Sydney University. Raised on his family’s farm in Southern New South Wales, Sam has worked in most aspects of agriculture, including cropping, animal husbandry and 12 months in the Kimberleys, Western Australia on a cattle property.

Alex HunterALEX HUNTER
SALES AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Alex joined Meares & Associates in 2006 having previously worked in rural real estate and marketing with Ray White, Elders and the RAS.

Alex was raised on her family’s wool, fat lamb and beef cattle property on the New England, and has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Agriculture from Hawkesbury Agricultural College. This strong agricultural background combined with formal qualifications and her work experience to date means she has a real empathy with rural Australia.

Katharine Radford LEANNE WAGLAND
OFFICE MANAGER


Leanne has been with the Company since 2007, and is an important part of the marketing team. Leanne ensures the efficient running of the office because communication and service are paramount to our business and essential for our clients.
