BORDER RIVER COUNTRY
DUMARESQ RIVER
Bengalla Station was taken up in 1840.
In those days it was one of five outstanding grazing holdings of south eastern Queensland / northern New South Wales. The property was purchased, in its reduced size, in 2003 by the current owners, who realised its significant potential. With its water assets, quality country, and situation – they have developed it into a now dynamic and diversified livestock and cropping enterprise, using its significant irrigation potential.
Whilst the Station is now a profitable enterprise, showing strong returns, there is no doubt that with a further capital injection its performance can be lifted significantly.
